Hi everyone,
I'm a new member of the site, and like everyone, I'm preparing for the holidays by shopping for gifts. I try to get everyone on my list things they can actually USE (imagine that!), and in my searching I stumbled across a new company here in the US called FORMATICUM that specializes in professional-quality cheese paper and other cheese equipment for use by normal people like me (and everyone on my list).

I live in Portland, and the company is based here, so if you're in the area you can purchase Formaticum cheese paper and (gorgeous!) cheese journals at New Seasons, Steve's Cheese, and Market of Choice. But if you don't live in Portland (or, as in my case, you're shipping gifts everywhere), I found that they have a full website with all their products and you can purchase them directly. Their paper is printed with a map highlighting more than a dozen American artisanal cheesemakers, so you can try cheeses you may never have had. Their website also stocks a wide variety of cheese domes, knives and knife sets, fondue sets, and even in-home RACLETTE MACHINES!! My boyfriend is definitely getting one of those for Christmas.
